You are not harming yourself. You are not slowly killing yourself. You are endangering the lives of the people around you. Don't be selfish. Stop that nasty habit.

what do i want for mother's day?

Mother's Day is just around the corner. It's on May 9, mark your calendars. Make sure you don't forget to greet your Mom on her special day. Surprise her with a cake or better yet with something that will last for a long time.

I have a suggestion. Give her a "Double Charms Name Necklace in Silver" from Bliss Living Jewelry. This necklace has two 3/4 inch sterling silver pendants, each can fit 7 letters, that can be personalized with names or your choice of words. It includes a sterling silver chain and it can be accented with a birthstone crystal or a freshwater pearl.  More charms can be added.

Don't you think your Mom will love it?

Or maybe, this "Mom's Name Charm Necklace" will make her feel more special. Your Mom is special so she deserves a one-of-a-kind gift. This necklace is handmade and it includes one dime-size 9/16" Sterling Silver charm connected by a tiny authentic Swarovski crystal birthstone on a sterling silver chain. Your Mom's name will be custom inscribed on the charm in a unique handwriting by Bliss Living Jewelry's artist. First names can be written in front and Mother's Day date (May 9, 2010) on the back.

Your Mom will definitely feel special with this gift, don't you think so?

do you want to have flawless skin?

Because of the hot weather, RJ takes a bath 3-4 times a day. He fills up a big basin with water (our house is old, no tub in the bathroom) and soaks himself for an hour or two. My mom has influenced him in putting guava leaves extract on his bath water.

You say yuck? Read on because you're wrong.
"Guavas can help improve your skin texture and avoid skin problems more than the best of beauty creams or skin toner gels can do. This is chiefly due to the abundance of astringents in its fruits (more in immature ones) and in leaves. You can benefit from it either by eating the fruits (this help tighten your muscles apart from your skin) or by washing your skin with the decoction of its immature fruits and leaves. It will tone up and tighten the loosened skin. In addition to the astringents, guava is very-very rich in vitamin-A, B, C and potassium which are very good anti oxidants and detoxifiers and keep your skin glowing and free from aging, wrinkles and other disorders."

Guava leaves can also relieve toothache.

More health benefits of guava, go to Organic Facts.

parents, listen to your children

Because you're the parent does not mean that you know everything. It doesn't mean that you shouldn't listen. Being a parent doesn't mean that you're the only person allowed to talk. You have to let your kids voice out their own opinions. It doesn't mean that your child is disrespecting you, except when it was said in a disrespecting way.

If you still think that you're right, put yourself outside of the situation. Only then will you be able to see the whole picture. Only then will you solve the problem.

Yes, I want rain right now. I want dark clouds to fill up the sky and pour down heavy rains. It is very very hot right now. I take a bath four to five times a day. And yet, I begin sweating the minute I step out of the bathroom.

Let it rain please, God!

what soap is the best for baby's skin?

The picture tells it all, my son only use Dove soap. Not just for his body, but also for his hair. Except for days when he has swim training, he needs to wash his hair with shampoo to remove all the chlorine from his hair.

And yes, I am a big fan too. I have tried other soaps, yes I did! But I still keep coming back to using Dove soap. It doesn't dry up my skin, that's why I love it! My skin becomes so dry and flaky when I use other soaps.

So yes, I recommend Dove soap for your baby's skin to always look and feel like a baby's skin.

Not just for babies but for the whole family as well.

is your house ready for a baby?

The first thing that should be done, before even giving birth to your baby, is baby proof your whole house. Babies don't have a mind of their own yet. They don't know what is good or bad for them. Let alone know what can or can't hurt them.

A baby gate is a must-have for every household. A staircase gate should be installed before baby even starts to crawl. If you don't know it yet, babies can move so fast. Don't let them fool you, they can be gone under your nose with the blink of an eye. Especially if you are taking care of the baby after a sleepless night. Before you even know what happened, you might see your baby rolling down the stairs.

To prevent that from happening, you better start looking for child safety gates right now.

My son does. So much.

Lately though, he's into playing with his Nintendo DSi and watching television all day long. Bought a waveboard for him, he played for two weeks. Now, it's just gathering dust in I-have-no-idea-where.

I have been toying with the idea of enrolling him at Museo Pambata's art workshop. Heard about the said workshop from Mommy Chris of Mommy Journey. When I told him about the workshop, he was so excited. Especially since the teacher is a children's book illustrator.

He was so proud of himself when his artwork got displayed at CCP. I was and still am very proud of him so I decided to let him join the workshop for Basic Art.

I was supposed to pay Php3,500 for 8 sessions. I ended up paying Php3,150 only. How? I availed of Museo Pambata's Privilege Card which is worth Php300. 10% discount for the Basic Art workshop! I only had to pay Php3,450 and I get to have a card that I can use for a whole year!

steve carell and tina fey?!

Yes. Steve Carell and Tina Fey are now together. During one of their weekly dinner date, they found themselves on a car chase, a shootout and a showdown with an underworld boss at a strip club. Exciting adventure for a bored suburban married couple right? Married? Yes they are married in their new movie "Date Night". They are "now together" in this new movie. Sorry if I confused you.

The Date Night Movie is a comedy film directed by Shawn Levy, "Night at the Museum" franchise director, which is set to be released April 9. Phil Foster (Steve Carell) decides to take his wife, Claire (Tina Fey), into Manhattan's hottest new restaurant. He, however, did not make any reservations. They solved the problem by stealing a no-show couple's reservation who turns out to be petty criminals who are being hunted down by corrupt cops.

That is a dinner date one will never forget.

The cast also includes Mark Wahlberg as Holbrooke Grant (an attractive security expert who flirts with Claire), James Franco as Chase 'Taste' Tripplehorn (a criminal whose identity was stolen by Phil), Mila Kunis as 'Whippit' Tripplehorn (wife of Chase whose identity was stolen by Claire) and Leighton Meester as Katy (the couple's babysitter) to name a few.

Showing tomorrow, April 9, in theaters near you.

St. Augustine, Ponte Vedra & The Beaches
Are you planning a vacation that is enjoyable and educational at the same time? Why not a Florida getaway with your family! St. Augustine, Ponte Vedra & The Beaches is the perfect place for your next vacation.

St. Augustine, Ponte Vedra & The Beaches, family, vacation, beach

We'll definitely get a suite at St. Francis Inn, a historic Bed and Breakfast with old world charm, located in St. Augustine Florida (the nation's oldest city). I don't have to worry what to feed my son, a picky eater, because the stay at St. Francis Inn includes a gourmet buffet breakfast and specialty coffee drinks, evening social hour with complimentary beverages and tasty treats, and nightly homemade desserts.

Black Raven gift certificate, gift card

My son will surely love to take a Cruise on the Pirate Ship, Black Raven. The Best Professional Pirate Actors in Florida entertains people, young and old alike, by singing pirate songs and telling stories of pirate and privateer attacks. I am very sure that RJ will enjoy the pirate hats, face painting and games with the crew. I hope someone will give us a giftcard for the cruise.

The charming seaside village, Ponte Vedra, lies along a stretch of brilliant, blue Atlantic Ocean. The small town, which can be found between St. Augustine and Jacksonville, offers some amazing amenities as well as educational attraction. The GTM Reserve’s Environmental Education Center is a one-of-a-kind learning center for people of all ages. The center contains natural & cultural history exhibits, aquariums, an audiovisual theatre/auditorium, a laboratory, and a nature store. Outdoor recreational activities include a picnic pavilion, 10 miles of hiking trails, 4 beach access points, fishing area and 2 small boat ramps.

There are more attractions and historical places to add to the itinerary. The Alligator Farm, the legendary Fountain of Youth, a trolley tour of Old City, the thrill to the oddities of the Ripley’s Believe it Not Museum and a lot more.  Visit http://www.romanceliveshere.com/ and start planning your dream vacation now.

protect your baby's skin

Diaper rash is a common condition that can cause mild redness, soreness and scaling to a baby's skin. The leading cause, of these rashes appearing on baby's delicate skin, is irritation brought about by soiled diapers that are left on for too long.

To prevent RJ from having rashes, when he was still using diapers, I make it a point to apply a diaper rash ointment as often as necessary. I do that with each diaper change especially when I forget to change his wet diaper for a prolonged period of time (such as bedtime).

Boudreaux’s Butt Paste is a diaper rash ointment that has been featured on The Oprah Show, People Magazine and ESPN to name a few. Boudreaux's Butt Paste was specifically formulated by a pharmacist with direction from a respected pediatrician to provide effective diaper rash care. It spreads on easily, cleans off quickly, and has a pleasant scent.

Boudreaux’s Baby Kisses is a non-irritating effective way to quickly restore moisture and help heal dry, chapped lips and cheeks. Boudreaux’s Butt Bath Moisturizing Body Wash & Shampoo is a gentle non-irritating formula for infants and children that restores moisture to delicate skin and helps prevent the drying effects of cleansing. Boudreaux’s Baby Butt Smooth Moisturizing Body Ointment is a non-irritating effective way to quickly restore moisture to dry skin and help enhance the natural healing process.

...Easter Sunday. Let us not forget that our Lord Jesus Christ has resurrected from the dead many years ago on this same day. Let us not waste his sacrifice, of being crucified and nailed on the cross, for us humans to be freed from sin.

A prayer for contemplation - meditation - on the timeless message of Easter.

Lord, You have arisen forever
In my heart!

May the sunrise
Remind me to shine in Your light.

May the caress of a gentle breeze
Remind me of Your compassion.

May the fragrance of a flower
Remind me to blossom in Your love.

May the singing of birds
Bring a song of joy to my lips.

And in the closing of each day
May I remember to quietly pray.

Wherever I am, whatever I do
May my thoughts in joy return to You!
