What are you thankful for?

29 November 2009

Thanksgiving is a time for remembering all that we are thankful for. During Thanksgiving holiday, parents should use it wisely to teach their children about the history of the holiday itself. There are a lot of fun ways for children to learn about Thanksgiving. To make it more interesting, enjoyable and not boring for the kids, parents should teach about Thanksgiving by engaging their children in activities and amusement like cooking, puzzles, trivia and crafts.

In our family, thanking God everyday is a must. We always include in our evening prayer our heartful thanks to God for all the blessings that we have received. Thanksgiving should not just be celebrated during Thanksgiving day itself. It should be celebrated everyday because every single day of our life God doesn't fail to give us what we need.

I am thankful for my son. I am thankful for the people who loves me unconditionally. I am thankful for my parents for giving me a good education. I am thankful that we do not go hungry. I am thankful for the good and the not-so-good situations that God puts on my way everyday to teach me new lessons and make me a stronger, wiser person. I am thankful for a lot of things.

We don't have to wait for another Thanksgiving to thank God for our blessings.

What about you, what are you thankful for?
