This is our fun weekend pictures when we visited Seriland. 

Seriland, the land of happy thoughts, is a Korean theme park attraction located at the second floor of Manila Ocean Park. RJ had so much fun in the Trick Art Musem. You can see me in the picture collage pointing at a treasure map. The treasure map is actually a 3D painting on the wall that gives an illusion of the object being real. The trick art museum is a room full of 3D art that kids and kids at heart will enjoy. Other fun-filled facilities are the Mirror Maze, the 3D Cinema Plus and the Kid’s Paradise with multi-colored toys and other playthings (which we didn't include in our package because my son said it's a place for babies).

in the future...

My son and I always try to find the time to play and goof around before going to sleep. We invent our own games. One such game is what we call "In the future".

We basically take turns in making a sentence out of the "in the future" phrase. We use our imagination in making a sentence of what the world's future will be. Sounds like a boring game? Not! This game makes my son laugh so hard. An example of an "in the future" sentence about tech jobs: "In the future, people will just stare at the computer and the computer will already do what the person is thinking."

Ok, fine. Not funny for you maybe, but the laugh that my son and I share...priceless.

blogger at 7?

Last year's summer break was more productive than this year's summer vacation. Productive in terms of fun as well as learning for my son RJ. I was already aware about blogging at that time. I wasn't too keen though on sharing my life with the online world. My son had a blog before I had one.

I encouraged my son to start blogging summer of last year. My goal was for him to practice his grammar and writing without hearing his usual, "Why do you always force me to study?" The idea of designing his own site and publishing his vacation pictures online was exciting for him. He used a free hosting service and it's still online up to now. From time to time, he still updates the site with new pictures and new stories.

Now he wants to create a new blog with a different theme.

SM Rock Toonfest 2010

I got an invitation from Trixie of Nuffnang Philippines two weeks ago. The said invitation was for the Sept 19 SM Rock Toonfest event. Me and my son, together with a few tag-alongs, arrived at around 3pm at SM Mall of Asia Music Hall.

My son and nephew had a blast! They joined the parade around MOA wearing the shirts bought with the GC's included in the goodie bag. Thanks Nuffnang and SM for the fun-filled Sunday afternoon.

ways for family to have fun this christmas

Christmas is the time of year when we celebrate the birthday of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. This is also the time when we gather with our loved ones to catch up on what happened to each and every member of the family during the year. Families congregate anticipating laughter, good food, gift exchange, Christmas music, Christmas stories and good holiday entertainment.

"It's better to give than to receive." Gift giving time is one of the highlights during Christmas gatherings. This is a great opportunity for parents to teach their children that all gifts received should be appreciated equally no matter how big or how small, how expensive or how cheap the gifts are.

Holiday games are a great way to entertain the family members during the gathering. Put on some Christmas music, lay out all the food on the table and throw on some Santa hats. Then gather everyone up and play games like Charades and Christmas Trivia.

Many games can be altered and played with a Christmas version. Parents should teach their kids the value of sportmanship and to have fun whether they win or lose.
